We have a responsibility as American citizens to stand up and get involved in our civic affairs and fight for what is right. In my opinion, as members of the Church this is even more so. Not on behalf of the church per se but rather as citizens because of the knowledge and counsel we have been given. There are attacks on our religious freedoms from many directions right now. We need to stand up and defend the Constitution, starting with our local governments where we live, or we will risk losing everything fought so hard for by so many. It deeply saddens me to see so much passiveness and apathy in our society today.
