What is a woman? This piece adds nuance and thoughtfulness to the physical and emotional gifts specific to women and mothers. Thank you for your beautiful prose, which is more like poetry.

We know Satan has and is attacking the family, he has certainly been pretty successful confusing gender but where he has caused so much trouble, confusion and ultimately probably the biggest attack on the family is his attack on womanhood and motherhood. I was with a friend a couple of years ago who at the time was serving as a bishop, we were discussing the things going on in society and church and the struggles so many seemed to be having with their faith or keeping the commandments, particularly the young adults, he said to me, " it's the sisters, the women that are struggling the most right now, at least in my ward". He is not the first who has told me that. Satan knows how important true motherhood and womanhood is and he's going after that with everything he can.

Thank you for the wonderful reminder of the blessings of Motherhood. This paragraph below particularly articulated how I felt and still feel about being a Mother. Thank you again!
"I am unspeakably grateful to have been invited, as a result of my gender, to have served as a very visceral partner with God as some of His children have grown within me and then been delivered to mortality through my body. That partnership is a holy gift. I so hope that my daughters and granddaughters and all young women see womanhood as something precious to look forward to with reverent anticipation, not something to dread or even just endure. Not all women can give birth, and pregnancy and childbearing and rearing are challenging, arduous, and tremendously demanding. But more than a hardship, childbearing is a form of tremendous strength and a truly blessed privilege – even a sacred interaction with God."

How Wonderful! THANK YOU, Sister Clayton, for these amazing insights into the hearts and minds of our eternal sisters! As a husband, and as a father of three incredible daughters, I "stand all amazed" at the gifts and blessings I've received in my life just by being close to the ultimate Creation of our Heavenly Father. Our mother Eve was the last of God's creations, and the greatest.
Someday in eternity I hope to visit with Mary and listen to her share her experiences in nurturing the Son of God through His formative years. Thanks again for this marvelous article. I'll never think of my mother, sister, wife, or daughters the same again.
