Darla, You have painted such beautiful word pictures. From the beginning of spring to the end of the article. Thank you for caring enough to share hope. Since I lost my sister-in-law through suicide it was especially insightful. zzyou have a beautiful way of reading the scriptures and sharing their insights.I love the quote from Joseph Smith. God bless you Darla for your continued service. :) Patricia

Thanks for the beautiful article. I have often felt many of the same things you have. My 19 year old son was killed in an auto accident. He also had left the church and was struggling spiritually. I have often felt that the spirit world is meant to be an extension of this probationary state. Our Lord is so merciful and he gives us so many chances to come unto Him. My belief is that spirit "prison" is not a place with bars or walls, but a condition of spiritual bondage. As these individuals in the spirit world are taught truth and choose to embrace it, their chains fall off of them and they are released from their spiritual bondage and enter into a state of peace and joy (paradise). They then become part of the missionary force that enlightens other spirits who are still in spiritual bondage.
