What a great story. You should consider sending it in to the New Era! All the Youth need to hear this-- and evaluate their actions and words in school etc. People ARE watching.
Made me think of this Quote by Pres. Hinckley:
"Our adherence to these divinely given standards need never be an offensive thing to those about us....if we will pursue a steady course, our very example will become the most effective argument we could ever advance for the virtues of the cause with which we are associated....If we will pursue a steady course in the implementation of our religion in our own lives, we shall advance the cause more effectively than by any other means."(Ensign, January 2005)
ANY other means. Thats powerful. Thanks for your story.
During my years as a teacher in inner city schools, I too have noticed these traits in these fine young men and women in our schools. I was always so grateful for their wonderful examples.
Muy conmovedor mensaje, también lo transmitiré a mis jóvenes en mi barrio. Muchas gracias!
Thank you so much for the beautiful story. I teach early morning seminary and I will share it with all of my fantastic students.
I have tears in my eyes. They came while reading this beautiful article. Thank you for your wonderful story. You are a very special teacher who obviously cares deeply about your students. Just as you have been blessed by the influence of these whom you mentioned, they are also very blessed to have you in their lives as well. My tears came because I love the gospel so much and I felt the Spirit in your words, and also because i love the youth of the Church. They are valiant and strong. They are studious and hard-working. But they also love laughter. One of my favorite things about Girls' Camp in the Young Women program is the combination of silliness and spirituality one finds there. I can never thank Heavenly Father enough for restoring the Gospel of Jesus Christ on earth. I would love to sit in on one of your Relief Society lessons. I'm sure they are inspired and wonderful.
As impressive as these young people are, equally impressive is a teacher who recognized and appreciated the qualities she found in them and had the interest and prompting to follow up with a search of the reasons behind them being such good kids. Good for you, Sister!
I was very touched by your story. Thank you for sharing your conversion story. I think some times we don't often realize the influence we have on other people. Just by radiating the light of Christ in our lives can be such an inspiration to others.
Brother Albright, you need to put all these stories together in a book, please!
WAY TO GO LDS YOUTH! WHAT GREAT EXAMPLES YOU ARE AND WHAT TERRIFIC EMISSARIES YOU ARE FOR THE CHURCH! I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!
