I also thought this Academy Conversations: Unbroken interview with Angelina Jolie, main cast and Producer were enlightening too, enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dG7QgNi0X3o

I read the book and anticipated the movie. This could have been three movies....before,during,and after. I wish more had been done with his after and the road he took to forgiveIng his enemies. There is so much to be learned from his story. We have encouraged all our children to read the book a learn from it.

This was marvelous! This is the BEST part of the whole Louis Zamporini story...and I felt deprived after watching "Unbroken" in the theatre. Thank you! I wanted to share this on my social media, however it shows this clip as "unlisted". What does that mean???

The Zamperini's were our neighbors up the street about five houses from our Hollywood Hills home when I was a kid. I recall my mother raving about their father, but as a child, it was difficult to comprehend. I was in their home a few times but I didn't quite understand the full impact of what my mother was trying to tell me about what a hero their father was. I only remember the photos and interesting artifacts from around the world and his Olympic and running honors and my mother wanting me to befriend their kids. As I recall, I was attending a private girls school at the time and so the opportunity to really get to know them was not as easy. I saw the movie and am reading the book right now. Already the book is giving more detail about who this man really was. I think it is difficult for a film to capture the entire story, so I recommend the book as well. I wish the movie could have captured more of the redemption side of this man's story post-war and how he lived the rest of his life, but it would have been a 3-hour movie! I recall his daughter Cynthia going away to study ballet and how accomplished she was. All I can say is this is an incredible story that has brought back some childhood memories.

I was wondering, where is the short clip about Joe Zamporini and forgiveness?
