What an amazing and inspiring man. Where can I purchase a copy of one of the paintings?

I have very fond memories of my time at BYU in a married student ward where Gary was the Bishop. I was the ward clerk so got to spend time with him regularly. My memory is of a gentle, deeply spiritual man would was completely dedicated to his God and his family. I loved going to his house and seeing all the artwork in various stages of completion and I felt the same sense of reverence that Janice mentions. I want to own an original of his art some day.

Great article. I found this because I am fortunate enough to have a painting of his in my home that I aquired from a bank I worked for in Maryland. It was purchased by the bank from I believe the "Gallery of the West" art show held at the bank in the early to mid 90's. He sounds like a wonderful person and I appreciate the painting even more because of it.

Gary's story is truly amazing, full of the tender mercies of a Father who knew Gary's talents would be used to enrich the lives of many people throughout the Church and throughout the world. Thank you so much for sharing your brother's extraordinary talent with us, Jan. You have also been such a blessing to all of us through your beautiful compositions. Thank you.

We were given an autographed copy of the painting of Jesus Christ when we were married some 23 years ago by our good friend Kathleen Schade and her husband. Of course you know them - she is a sister of Diane's. What a marvelous gift and I loved this story!!

Thank you, Sister Perry, for sharing the wonderful, faith promoting story about your brother, Gary, and how his life's work evolved, as well as how he met his wife and how lovingly he cares for her now in her time of need. I have loved his Book of Mormon paintings through the years and did not know who the artist was. How wonderful that it was your brother! Of course I have loved your music through the years and deemed "We'll Bring the World His Truth (Army of Helaman) as my youngest son's 'theme' song as he served his mission in Russia! I was inspired by your recent account of your own struggle through many years with the atrophy of your hand. Thank you so much for sharing part of the inspiring life stories of you and your brother!

Wow. Great portrait of lives of faith, preparation , chance , love and courage. I have seen many of the same blessings and trials as an independent commercial artist. Thanks for bringing this story to us.
