I've lived in both the big city and the country. I was a big city girl, who moved to small city, and then married my completely country husband. We now live about 15 minutes out of the small city and I wouldn't have it any other way. The things I missed by living in a city (although it did have advantages) and the things I have now learned living in the country, I wouldn't change in a heart beat. Our daughter is growing up appreciating Heavenly Father's gift of the earth and we feel so much closer to Him out here. Our little city is a much slower pace that the big city and I did enjoy that, but I love the relationship with our neighbours and their kids are so untainted by "street smarts". They know the art of amusing themselves and actual conversation. We have bonfires many summer nights and can count on each other whenever we need help. My parents only know their one set of neighbours and it's not for lack of trying. The city people are just too busy.
