I don't agree that running over a dog unknowingly is considered a sin. On purpose yes, but I would say that it would be classified as an "accident" if the person did it having no idea they did it.

Forgiveness is not conditional based on the understanding of the offender. The Lord commands us to repent of our sins and seek His forgiveness. He also commands us to forgive those who offend or hurt us. Recognizing or knowing their motivation may help us to let go, but we are required to let go for our own safety, well being, and progress. The Lord said:

Meaning crucifiers is the reference to the Romans and not the Jews (cleric). Father and the Son cannot forgive the Jewish Cleric for they knew who He was. If in doubt in what I am conveying, then go back to the teachings of Joseph Smith in researching the Lord comment. Like Joseph, we need a clarity regarding this subject through the Holy Ghost.
