What a great story! JST Mark 9 teaches that every man must "stand or fall for himself, and not for another". While each is to "esteem his neighbor as himself", that esteem and camaraderie must also be tempered with the ability to stand alone when necessary. The above scripture teaches that not even the "eye of the body" is above failing.
