Thanks for the article, very good and appropriate title. Alma 40:11-12. Taken home to the God who gave them life referes to Spirit world. Paradise is a heavenly state. Departed loved ones are doing our saviors work, and ministering to friends and loved ones on earth. There are many books and accounts from latterday apostles and many near death experiences recorded in books that support teachings from the scriptures and doctrine taught by latterday prophets. If we could part the veil, we would be amazed at the help we recieve from departed loved ones in missionary work, temple work, protection, and promptings. etc. Angels speak by the power of the Holy Ghost, Wherefore they speak the words of Christ. 2 Nephi 32:3-5. Thanks again. Greg

My sister was very ill and my father came to her and said he would come and get her on Sunday, he was busy in meetings until then. She died on Sunday. Another sister had cancer and her son was being married, she wanted to go to his wedding in the Temple. She asked for a blessing to help her get through it. When her husband and some other brethren put their hands on her head, before she closed her eyes, she saw my father and her husbands father come and put their hands on her head for the blessing also. There is much to do in heaven, they are very busy.

Yes, I would agree with Bro. Newman. Heaven is where the Father and Son dwell. The Savior visits the Spirit World as He will this earth during the Millennium.May I suggest a better title would have been"What do they do in the Spirit World".

Thank you for reminding me of how close our loved ones really are to us. It is comforting and strengthening!

If heaven does not exist yet, where did we live before we came here? Where does Heavenly Father and Mother live? Why do we want to go BACK. The earth in its exalted state will be part of heaven. Worlds without end.

As a member of the LDS church I was not aware that heaven existed yet! Paradise yes, but heaven as we understand it is the earth in it's exalted state, remember we are judged in the flesh (after the resurrection) then we go to our reward!

Thanks for writing, Brother Dixon. I got the quote from Roy W. Doxey years ago. But it's on the web, too. Check out this site: https://www.believeallthings.com/434/the-eternal-city/

What is the reference for the experience when David O. McKay saw the spirit world. It is one that I am not aware of and would like a complete copy of it. Thanks, Owen Dixon
