What you have said is exactly correct - the hoards of less actives are not less active because they lost their testimonies - in fact many have probably got stronger testimonies than those that are active. The problem is hypocrisy. Members can be extremely judgemental and critical - the opposite of what a Christian should be. Jesus said love everyone don't judge everyone. There is also a large amount of members who are glory seekers / obsessed with power and authority - they lack humility and a true Christlike spirit. Having said that there are a large amount of members who are wonderful people. Unfortunately, we live in the last days and the tares are mixed with the wheat. Anyway I love the gospel - I wish those who do so much damage, believing they are helping, would wake up.
