This article is much needed by the world. I don't even read some articles in the newspaper because they are so contentious. The contention in our nation upsets my whole system. It especially sad when I see members of the Church being contentious on Facebook and other media.

Contentious vs. Competitive? Interesting. I don't like either one! I suppose when it comes to sports one is competing.. I love the thoughts expressed here about avoiding contention though!

I especially love the idea if tuning out by turning off any "entertainment" that brings contention on any form into my home. I live alone. I'm 78. I've found myself doing that automatically when suddenly something that appeared to be pleasant, turned into a "drive the Spirit out". There's no one to be contentious with so it sits like a brick in my heart and the contention is within. So, off it goes.
