Thank you for a beautifully written article. This country was created for the people, by the people - who are not perfect, but try to do their best. We have learned a lot and have a lot yet to learn. It is true that the inception and foundational documents for the United States of America were inspired; however, the country has strayed from its divine commission. You cannot lock up immigrant children in cages or kill with drones and overlook "collateral damage," read non-combatants. God led the Israelites, the Nephites, and the Jaredites into promised lands, but they all lost their status as exceptional when they flagrantly employed the practices of the Gadiantons.
