One thing that should be mentioned: in a capitalist society, no one will starve, even if they are less productive. Capitalist people tend to be more charitable when they have left-over production; and when they see people in need, capitalists are far more willing to share. So, no one really goes without in a capitalist society. Historically, the same cannot be said of a socialist society.

Can you write an article about how capitalism is Satan's counterfeit? Korihor was well versed in it and preached it and we know how he turned out. The USA is drunk on her own wealth and self righteousness, they have billionaires while homelessness is increasing. Thank you!

Brother Lawrence, I agree with your article and your position on socialism. However, I must point out one very important point that needs to be recognized by the Latter-day Saints as we move forward in our preparation for the coming of the Lord. You quoted D&C 104:17 regarding the Lord preparing the fullness of the earth. The previous verse states:“…behold this is the way that I, the Lord, have decreed to provide for my saints, that the poor shall be exalted, in that the rich are made low.” (D&C 104:16)The system by which the Lord has decreed to provide for “His Saints” is the fullness of the Law of Consecration and Stewardship, which is being explained in this section and in several other sections of the Doctrine and Covenants. The fullness of this law must be lived in New Jerusalem prior to the Lord’s coming. (D&C 105:4-5)The point I wish to make is that Marxism/socialism is not the Law of Consecration. It is Satan’s counterfeit for the Law of Consecration. It is implemented by force upon the individual. It is as you have well explained, anti-agency and therefore anti-Christ.
