Thank you for sharing these amazing experiences. I love how our Heavenly Father is in the details. Tender mercy upon tender mercy. Miracle upon miracle. I can't help but think of Helaman 5:12 where Nephi and Lehi are admonished to "remember." When our faith feels weak we can remember the times we have seen God intervene in our lives. Experiences such as these strenthen my faith in a loving God.

I read this story out loud to a family member who has significant health issues after a life of service. We are both returned missionaries and we know exactly where we were on 9/11 so this "missionary miracle" was a beautiful story to read. Thank you for sharing. The Lord loves His missionaries--young and older--and all the peoples of this beautiful world. The work goes on...

What a beautiful story to begin the Sabbath day. These miracles illustrate how our heavenly father is working in our lives every single day. September 11 was a very scary day and to have Missionaries return home on that very day how do you have been an added level of fear. Thank you for sharing this beautiful story

What a miraculous story! I live in Las Vegas also, and well remember the events of that time. The Lord truly blessed you for your efforts and trying to align yourself with His will.

What a beautiful story during a tragic and confusing time. Miracles truly happen in these days and if we are willing, we are able to have a hand in those miracles. Truly, Heavenly Father allowed for the windows of heaven to open for so many people. He is mindful of us and hears our prayers. I love that we can truly be disciples of Jesus Christ through our sincere efforts and when we listen to the promptings of the Spirit. The scripture 1 Nephi 3:7 comes to mind when I read this story. The gospel is true.

What an amazing story! I was still on my mission when 9/11 happened and I served in the Vancouver mission. The mission president at the time was President Robert P. Haight.

Amazing how the Lord will let us be His Hands and messengers if we let him

Such a great story! And a great reminder about who's in charge, if we'll just listen & follow. We are instruments in His hands. He answers our prayers, often through others.. Thank you for sharing!

Oh, wow! What an upper to start the day. Thank you Mark Albright for your stories of missionary tender mercies (I call them miracles!) Cliff Rogers was truly guided and blessed that day....incredibly so, to find those people and to have the events unfold like they did....It just brings me to tears. The dear Lord is so mindful of us and of the good we can do if we follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost. Thank you again.
