It’s so wonderful to hear this woman’s wonderful story, especially when news is so bleak these days. You lifted me. Oh, and I was a Red Cross disaster nurse back in the day, so hearing this story reminded me of many life changing memories. Thanks!
This is such a great story! I had heard a lot about New York and the devastating Covid numbers there. This brings it back around to how medical volunteers on the front line from other states are truly so valuable. Caring for the one patient that she was meant to help made such a huge difference! Thank you Carly!
Thank you Carly and Michaela for this truly inspiring story. Sheltering as a lot of the country re opens it is easy to forget just how bad things are in other places. Thank you for your example of what a daughter of God looks like.
Micheala, Thank you for writing this beautiful article I broke out sobbing for some time responding to the sacrifice of dear Carly and of the extraordinary loss of life!!! I was brought immediately back to the feelings I had so often as a critical care nurse as we lost patients! I was brought back immediately to a particular patient, whom I have everything I could to save her life. 100 units of blood, and a 14 hour shift (along with 2 doctors and 2 other nurses all night long) left me praying a mighty prayer that this young mother would be there when I returned to work that night. Oh the gratitude when indeed she lived, and was rolled out of the ICU in a wheelchair. Oh dear Carly, I can only imagine the heartache that you felt night after night. And, the joy to meet this dear patients husband. I can only imagine the loving bond that you all will share for eternity. God Bless You!!
Thank you Carly for your sacrifice for another woman in another city.
You are truly a daughter of God with a heart of pure gold. I pray that this new friend has recovered and returned to her family. Thank you so much!
Thank you, Michaela, for describing what it is still like out there, while much of the country is slowly reopening.
Carly, thank you for your unselfish service. We all love and thank you for doing something we can't do. Thank you for representing love, Utah and God. All I have been able to do is sew masks but I pray that will help others. Your story was amazing
Thank you so much for sharing! You are a blessing! Thank you for serving!
This is so touching. Each life is so important and it is comforting to know that patients are being cared for by such caring people as this young nurse.
