The world is overwhelmed with reporters, commentators, celebrities, and social media pundits who imagine that what they believe is good and everything else is bad. This is characteristic of the rampant narcissism predicted by Paul in 2 Timothy (chapter 3, verses 1-5), isn’t it? I believe that most of the current discord in our society can be traced directly to this pervasive and prideful I-love-me-and-everyone-else-be-damned attitude. It’s an attitude that seems to close one’s eyes and ears while opening the mouth wider than ever.
