I am grateful for this article! I have an adult son who cut me out of his life more than 10 years ago over a silly misunderstanding. He has repeatedly rebuffed my sincere apologies and attempts to reconcile / restore our relationship. I have a wonderful relationship with his younger brother, but I still mourn the years of separation from this beloved son and wonder if we can ever regain the close relationship we once had. This article gives me hope and I just continue to pray for him.
