Scot, thank you for this comparison/analysis. I would read line by line to try to see the difference in the wording. Your assessment is spot on.

It is also fun to note that the proper answer to one of the questions (#6) has actually changed from No to Yes.

Since I don't give temple recommend interviews and only hear these questions every 2 years, I couldn't tell much of a difference at first. This side by side comparison was so helpful, thank you!

Thank you, Scot, for this insightful comparison of the old and the new. I appreciate you experience and the way you capture the compass heading indicated by these changes.

You have an error in your interpretation of the "keys" when you say that the Apostles have the keys. You are right but it is important to understand that the keys are in the Quorum of the twelve apostles but not individually. As it has been stated in the part one of the question, the President of the Church is the only person that have all the keys.D&C 132:7

These changes are wonderful! They seem to clarify the concepts beautifully. I am so grateful for the wisdom in temple reccommend interview questions because they give us specifics to work toward. Defining worthiness can be vague, but these questions give us a basic check-list to focus on.

Thanks for this side-by-side comparison! I too have given many recommend interviews over the years, and so am very familiar with the "old" questions. I was very surprised when one of my adult children said "I didn't notice many changes"! I'm sending him the link to this article!

Thanks for putting this together, Scot. A side by side comparison of the old and new questions was exactly what I was hoping for after hearing the talk.

The. Temple Recommend. Is the most important, little piece of paper, that you will ever own in your life. So therefore, the questions, that you are asked, are vital, to you, to enter . The House Of The Lord, The Interview Questions. Have to be answered in an acurently and honestly, and sincere, as the Temple Recommend is only for two years, then you must remain worthy, to hold it and thus be in a position to , answer these questions , on a two year roll, so that you can enter The Temple, not just to receive your own Endowment, or sealed to your Spouse, for time and all eternity, you also have a great responsibility , for your kindred dead. So being a worthy Temple Recommend Holder, is a must, for our eternal progression.
