A witty and fabulous reminder of how Satan can turn good into bad. And what a wonderful parody of CS Lewis. I think he would enjoy reading this as much as I did.

I need to go back and re-read the Screwtape Letters. This certainly rings true to my memories of CS Lewis's short book that I read first many years ago when I was in high school. Can you imagine the Screwtape Letters being required reading in a high school English class now?

EXCELLENT!!

This was excellent. You should run it every year. ☺️

Albert SchindlerOctober 2, 2019

Well done ... creative and timely! I agree, your article should be appended to the original Screwtape Letters.

DL AndersonOctober 2, 2019

Oh!!! Most excellent!!! (& warning for me!!) A spoonful of sugar... etc.

Robert GreerOctober 2, 2019

C.S. Lewis has an heir apparent. Do you think we could get John Cleese to append this to his audio book of the Screwtape Letters?

Wanda BrownOctober 2, 2019

Sounds just like Uncle Screwtape! Well done.

Pam BlairOctober 2, 2019

INCREDIBLE! I am saving this one, for sure. I have read The Screwtape Letters - this is perfect. THANKS!

Roberta PetersonOctober 2, 2019

As a big fan of the Screwtape Letters, I really enjoy this adaptation. zeroes in like a laser on some of our common tendencies. I'll be on the look- out! Thank you!

This inventive article pretty well follows all the devices that the enemy uses to neutralize the spiritual effects of General Conference. Congratulations on a well-written, creative piece.

Susan CurtisOctober 2, 2019

Genius! I love it! Faithful to the original and original to the Saints!

Carolyn WilckenOctober 2, 2019

I loved this. A brilliant and entertaining way of portraying what I and many others of us have experienced. I well remember times in the past where I was excited for General Conference because It meant a “break” from going to church. I’m glad I’m past that. Now I love General Conference for the spiritual feast it provides. Can’t wait to overload my plate and stuff myself.

Those remarks by screwtape are certainly true. Satan knows our weaknesses and will absolutely use them to throw us off track. We must start our day by getting the rest the night before, say our family prayers, read our scriptures like we are taught to do. If we don't, the door has been opened for Satan to attack what our leaders are trying to teach us in our conference meetings. Pray for the Spirit to be with us.

What a wonderful tribute to CS Lewis and his ability to present spiritual truths in unusual, yet remarkable ways. Thank you so much! I will be sharing this with my family.
