Sister Arveseth, a great blog to Romans, I appreciate your efforts to help us, especially with our kids.
I like Rom 1 for the perspective of applicability to our day with the rebellion of members to sound doctrine. The last part of chapter 1 seems to address our ills and those things we can easily rationalize by virtue of public popularity of the day. The legalization of gay activity and same sex marriage seems to negate the Lordâs position on morality. We shouldnât be fooled by the situational ethics that tyranny of the majority makes âmeâ more important than the commandments of the Lord. The litany of rebellion written in the last part of chapter one is a castigation of whatâs popular today. Family members should be taught and exhorted that these are to be avoided if they want total justification.
