Hi Joni, I am saddened to hear of your and your spouses cancer issues. I so enjoy reading your articles. You have a way of communicating that penetrates to the HEART. Have faith. I know that He does carry us through the valley of death when we have a real need that is beyond our capacity to cope with. God bless you and know that you all are in my prayers. Gordon

D&C 9 7 Behold, you have not understood; you have supposed that I would give it unto you, when you took no thought save it was to ask me. 8 But, behold, I say unto you, that you must study it out in your mind; then you must ask me if it be right, and if it is right I will cause that your bosom shall burn within you; therefore, you shall feel that it is right.

I think underneath most people are generous and kind and want civility. these are fierce times and its almost like we stand in battle over the forces of good and evil. politics like never before have come into the forefront. we know more because of the media. it just makes me wonder what we have been living with before that we didn't know about. now that we know we have more of a say and we have discovered that we are divided in our beliefs. there is a wide divide and I don't know that the gap will be filled because of the beliefs. one cannot compromise on beliefs such as I am very prolife....I cannot give an inch on prolife...how can one bargain so the gap can be filled ….one cannot bargain with life. however, I say we can still love one another and respect each other even though we think differently. we have to allow the other to be able to think different and its why im glad we live in a country that allows this thus far. thank God for America.
