I lived in Saudi Arabia in the 70's. At the time we operated as the LDS Morale Group, like the Catholics operated as the St. Christopher's Morale Group. We met in a school building at Dhahran's Aramco Compound.

I spent twelve years in Saudi Arabia and have family there now. I will believe it when I see it. Churches are not allowed to own property there. Until that changes, churches will have to continue to operate semi-secretly. The Quran, with all its calls for killing and subjugating "infidels", is still the elephant in the room. On returning to Rabigh at the end of September 2001 I was asked by a young Shia if I thought the Jews "did this", meaning conducting the attack on the WTC. Despite all that, we know that every nation, kindred, tongue, and people must have the opportunity to hear the Restored Gospel in their own tongue. When that happens it will be nothing short of miraculous in my thinking.
