Thank you. Your one sentence, --I remind myself that faith in Christ is more a decision than a feeling and that faith is the only decision that makes any sense.-- spoke volumes. Thank you for reminding us that we can choose. I choose to have faith.

I do trust all of the ideas you've presented in your post. They're very convincing and can certainly work. Nonetheless, the posts are very short for beginners. May just you please lengthen them a bit from next time? Thanks for the post.

So refreshing to read about others having "spiritual slumps" and pushing through them. Many of us in the Church seem "obligated" to only present to others the "Patti-Perfect" feelings we think we should share. In reality, the Church is made up of real people who struggle every day with real challenges. Like Alma, this sister's reminder to sometimes "just DO" when we really don't FEEL is wonderful. Hang in there, folks!

Thank you for sharing these very real and meaningful thoughts about one of the difficult experiences of mortal life for one who has chosen the path of faith. I too go through these seasons of drought, only to find He has led me the entire time. Close to forty years ago during an enormously emotional and spiritual challenge to my faith I remember being in the car by myself and declaring aloud with all the intensity of my soul, "I choose faith Father! And this is the way I WILL live my life!" Since then the memory of that verbal intention and commitment made during that difficult circumstance has often fueled my spiritual tanks with the determination to keep on keeping on until I again pass through the night into the light of His love. I read your words as I was up during the wee hours of the morning during one of the dry spells you so articulately shared. Thank you for reaching out and helping me to remember. Remember. Remember. President Kimball used to witness to the importance of that word to our spiritual journey. We will.
