Thank you. I needed this. Why not be positive and uplifting to the most important people around us? Who cares who is right in so many silly little things? Thank you for reminding me that my goal is to be good and kind, not right.

Thank you for this article. This is one area my family and I need to focus on more. We love each other but can't seem to get over the need to be "right." In doing so, we often treat each other poorly whenever we disagree about something. This article has prompted me to call a family council to discuss how we can better respond when we disagree. Now that I think about it, my 11-year-old daughter already has the best solution.. When she sees two (or more) of us starting to argue, she walks over and gives everyone involved a hug and tells us she loves us and then goes back to whatever she was doing. That usually ends the argument.
