We're a nation of crybabies. Everything is a disease, or an addiction, and nothing is our fault.

For two and a half years I co-led the Addiction Recovery Program in my stake. One of the things I learned that was when pornography is viewed that it creates a new neural pathway. The brain can then allow that pathway to become part of its memory. When one of the following occur it allows for viewing Pornography without resistance - BLAST - Bored, Lonely, Angry, Stressed, or Tired. This holds true for all things that we see, hear, touch, smell or taste. We have been cautioned for years about the devastating effects pornography has on family, but it is most devastating to the one addicted to that plague. The Gospel is the only real means of escaping this devastating ruination in life..

I can't point to a specific study at this instant, but a friend that works in public health told us that video game addiction is a real and serious problem as well.
