Lori was blessed with a passion for physiology and the human body and the young age of 10. She grew up serving in hospitals, then finally after nursing school began living that young girls dream of working in with open heart surgery and transplant patients. After years of critical care and trauma, and 2 graduate degrees later, she was finally caring for her beloved cardiology patients as a Nurse Practitioner. After a few years, she could see that, although western medicine could produce miracles for some, there will still many stuck in the sickness system, never addressing the root cause of illness. She then focused her energies in the prevention side of healing. God blessed her with another degree, if you will, as she struggled in a long healing & educational journey to heal her own body, when western medicine said, “there’s nothing wrong”. The gift has been discovering the healing power of functional & integrative medicine. Now vital and healthier than she was 20 years ago, Lori is a health coach to those that are either stuck in sickness or want to optimize their vitality. She has served on international nutrition boards, lectured nationally – to small and large groups – but her passion is still supporting others one – on- one to heal – physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Lori’s passion is her husband and her (step)children & grandchildren. She has served in various callings as Institute & RS teacher, RS president, Stake YW, ward & stake choir director / music chair.
