Aaron D. Franklin is the Addy Professor of electrical and computer engineering and chemistry at Duke University (see https://ece.duke.edu/faculty/aaron-franklin). He is also the Associate Dean for Doctoral Education in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke. A native of Phoenix, Arizona, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University in 2004 and a doctorate from Purdue University in 2008, both in electrical engineering. Prior to becoming a professor, Franklin worked at IBM as a research scientist studying nanotechnology. He and his wife, Lianne Walters Franklin, are the parents of three children and reside in Cary, North Carolina.
