Our Savior’s capacity to heal both body and spirit is stunningly portrayed in this series of sculptures. Through Jesus Christ, hope, repentance and faith are met with tender love and divine power sufficient to cleanse any sin or heal the bruised, broken or suffering soul.

Bill Mullins: An Evening of Sacred Music
Pianist Bill Mullins will perform arrangements of well-known LDS and other traditional hymns in this musical fireside. He will also discuss the power of the hymns, and the blessings of including wholesome music in our lives.

Exhibit Fireside: President Richard O. Hatch
In conjunction with the “Healing Power of Jesus Christ” exhibit, President Richard O. Hatch will speak on his need for the healing power of the Savior while serving two deployments in Iraq and in the difficult months following his return home. He will be joined by his wife, Keri, who will share the perspective of the families who supported their military loved ones.

Spanish Night of Music and Inspiration
Through musical numbers and inspirational thoughts, missionaries of the Washington D.C. North Mission will present a wonderful evening sharing their talents to strengthen the testimonies of members as well as investigators.

Why I Believe: President James and Sister Vicki Matsumori
Recently-baptized members of the church will be introduced. The speakers will be the new Washington DC North Mission President, James R. Matsumori, and his wife, Sister Vicki Matsumori. President Matsumori is a former stake president and Sister Matsumori served as a counselor in the Primary General presidency prior to this assignment.

Commemorate Pioneer Day at the Visitors’ Center
The Temple Visitors’ Center will have a display of artifacts reminiscent of the pioneers. On Saturday, July 24th, “Legacy” will play in the movie theater all day, and the evening will conclude with a talk by Chris Brewer, on “Prophets, Presidents and Pioneers”. On Sunday, July 25th, Todd Thatcher & Tony Favero will provide a musical fireside in honor of the Pioneers.
