Elder L. Tom Perry and Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve attended the 57th Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C.

The two apostles were assigned by the First Presidency in response to a formal invitation to represent the Church at the 57th Presidential Inauguration at the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C., on Monday, January 21.

They attended with their wives, Sister Barabara D. Perry and Sister Mary G. Cook. 

Elder and Sister Perry and Elder and Sister Cook also attended the prayer service at the Washington National Cathedral on Tuesday, January 22. 

Approximately 700,000 people attended the Inauguration, according to Reuters news outlet.

In addition, Elder Perry and Elder Cook attended to other Church business while in Washington, D.C.
